Hi Friends,
Tom continues to be filled with positive energy. He is working like crazy on his physical therapy. It makes any marathon training I have ever done seem like a stroll down easy street.
Tom also sleeps very well at night (and when he can between this therapies during the day). His appetite is getting better and that is also helped by the fine food we are bringing in from home.
For the past three days Tom has had wheel chair adventures leaving not only the room but the floor and even taking a cross walk to a different building. Below we are sitting in front of the Fountain at Methodist. With me driving it may have been more of an adventure that he had in mind (Tip: Back the patient into the elevator so you don't smash their feet in the wall.)
This morning, although Tom was not able to see the marathon runners I gave him a play by play of the action outside our window. He grinned so big with the successes of each and everyone of our runner friends.
Wednesday or Thursday Tom is leaving rehab. Tuesday we learn if he going to a different rehab facility or heading home! I will keep you posted.
Tom is going to give it his best shop to make it to the party. We hope to see each of you there.
Please keep Tom in your prayers.
Love, Theresa

I'm glad to see that Tom is making such great progress. I'm also glad to see that his feet are OK. ;)
I hope to see Tom (and his feet) at the shindig.
:)
